Sharon Burvill is an absolute enthusiast when it comes to creating items with her hands. She is delighted to have learned the skills to be able to rescue a neglected or unwanted piece of furniture and give it new chance. Equally a much loved piece may simply need recovering to fit in with a new scheme of decoration.
Sharon is interested in fabrics and the effect they can have on the style of a particular piece of furniture. She can give you expert advice on the suitability of a fabric whether it be newly available or something that you have been saving in a drawer for some time!
She has had many years of working with a local frame restorer and all work is carried out in their own workshops.
Sharon gained Distinction in City & Guilds Upholstery and then went on to study with the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) where she again gained Distinction in their Level 3 Upholstery. She is an Associate Member of the AMUSF.
Sharon also holds Yeoman membership of the Worshipful Company of Upholders.
